Pablo Cesar Awarded Dutch Prize for ICT Research 2020
The 2020 Dutch Prize for ICT Research has been awarded to Pablo Cesar for his research on modelling and controlling complex collections of media objects (including real-time media and sensor data that are distributed in time and space). The prize comes with €50k, that can be freely spent by the winner to support their own research.

Efstratios Gavves, IvI, receives NWO LIFT Grant
Efstratios Gavves, assistant professor of Computer Vision and Deep Learning at the Informatics Institute (IvI), has received a grant for the software development for autonomous cars. BMW is the other partner of this public-private partnership. €240,000 has been awarded and the project will start on 1 March 2020.
