Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam has three openings available for faculty appointments at the junior or mid-career levels. In exceptional cases, a senior faculty appointment will also be considered. The positions are expected to be filled by the beginning of the 2018-19 academic year.

Assistant Professors (UD) / Associate Professors (UHD) in Computer Systems
The High Performance Distributed Computing group of the Computer Systems section studies parallel and distributed programming systems in combination with real-world applications. Modern applications with societal impact (e.g., Internet-of-Things, blockchains, Bioinformatics) often need to address a wide spectrum of techniques for data generation and processing, using a range of computing infrastructures from small sensors to big supercomputers.
