Data Science Center starts groundbreaking research program on AI with all 7 UvA Faculties
The UvA Data Science Center is announcing a groundbreaking research program to align artificial intelligence (AI) for the interpretation of video data with human values and ethical principles.
Within the project, a unique laboratory will be set up that studies video AI from a multidisciplinary perspective – the research team will consist of researchers and PhD students from all 7 UvA faculties. The research program will establish the Data Science Center’s first multidisciplinary laboratory, the Human-Aligned Video AI Laboratory (DSC HAVA-Lab), to define human-centered video AI, develop computable models, and investigate the factors influencing are on social acceptance.
