Building an international research community: HHAI Conference 2023

Breaking ground as the first international conference on Hybrid Human Artificial Intelligence, HHAI22 held its first-ever in-person meeting in Amsterdam in the summer of 2022, establishing the beginnings of an international research community. ADS contributed to the conference by hosting a Meetup around the topic of Hybrid Intelligence.

Organised by the Dutch Hybrid Intelligence Centre and the European HumaneAI Network, HHAI22 gathered students and academics at the Vrije Universiteit for a lively week of research events, including a Hackathon, paper presentations, talks, Q&As, demo sessions and networking events. Talks from Paul Lukowicz, Wendy Mackay and other industry experts highlighted building human-computer partnerships and the importance of creating trust and transparency when designing interactive AI systems. The main take-home of the event? Enhance human intelligence with AI – don’t replace it.

     The annual ADS TECH020 Career Fair took place on  April 13th at Lab42, Amsterdam Science Park. We hosted 16 companies and 200 students who made it a lively and interactive event.
