Hackathon: Is BCG vaccination causally related to reduced COVID‐19 mortality?

There has been renewed interest in potential BCG/COVID correlations – as a result, the University of Ottawa, Estafet and Elsevier are collaborating to organise a BCG Hackathon to explore this correlation in more detail.

The first round of the hackathon aimed to increase and augment the BCG Atlas data.

The second round of the hackathon, hosted on Kaggle, is focused on using machine learning and data science to find insights that could help the ongoing clinical trials regarding the possible correlation between BCG Vaccination and COVID mortality.  This task has a $ 6000 prize pool (made available by Estafet and Elsevier), the deadline is 31 December, 2020.

For more information on the hackathon and how to get involved, please visit the Kaggle website.
