ADS is hiring an Events Manager

Are you a natural networker, interested in helping to grow a dynamic ecosystem? Are you passionate about organising events? Do you like working as part of a small, enthusiastic and agile team as well as independently? Are you looking to take on varied responsibilities in order to develop your career?

ADS is looking for an Events Manager who is interested in working in a world-class Data Science and AI network. For this position we offer a 1-year contract for 32 hours per week. You will be responsible for organising:

  • 15-20 ADS Meetups per year
  • ADS presents: Tech 020 Career Fair
  • Partner dinner
  • Partner meetings
  • Thesis Fair
  • Highlight Event

The goal of this event management position is to increase ADS’s event capacity and value. Hence, an important aspect of your position will be to gather and integrate feedback into your activities, as well as to increase the number of Meetups to over 20 per year. You will be supported by your team throughout this process.

  • Davide Ceolin Selected as First IAS and DSC Joint Fellow.

    The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) and Data Science Center (DSC) of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) are joining forces in a new joint fellowship for (teams of) researchers interested in exploring the intersection of data science and other disciplines.     Nanda Piersma, lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), has been appointed as a crown member of the Social and Economic Counsil (SER). This is the first time that a lecturer has been appointed as member of the SER. Nanda Piersma was approached because of her expertise in the field of digitisation.

    The ADS Thesis Awards aim to promote excellence in Data Science and AI from students at BSc and Master level. The Awards are open to students from all Amsterdam-based knowledge institutes.
