About ROBUST
LTP ROBUST will bring together 17 knowledge institutes, 19 industry partners, and 15 governmental and societal organizations to develop AI-based methods and tools designed to create social impact and promote sustainable growth. The research agenda of ROBUST focuses on the principles underlying trustworthy AI and machine learning in order to realize the potential of AI to create social impact. Six dimensions of trustworthy AI, namely accuracy, explainability, reliability, repeatability, resilience, and safety will drive the development of algorithms addressing specific objectives motivated by the UN’s sustainable development goals (SDGs).

PhD’s WANTED!
We are seeking PhD candidates in computer science, artificial intelligence, and the social sciences and humanities to undertake collaborative, transdisciplinary research on the development of trustworthy, human-centered AI technologies. Research will be conducted in small groups (maximum five PhD candidates) ensuring personal attention and a supportive community. All PhD positions will be funded for a term of four years.
