We are inviting you to join us at this interactive Meetup focused on the newest spin-offs in Data Science and AI in Amsterdam. Spin-offs are a key factor for the successful transfer of promising technologies, research results and know-how to industry and society.

On the 12th of January 2023, we are hosting the first ADS Drinks & Data of 2023 in collaboration with TTT-AI and ACE! There will be talks by an Industry and Academic Spin-off and 5 startups presenting a pitch presentation in front of you and a picky panel!

Senior researcher at the Database Architectures research group of CWI. I serve in the CWI management team, responsible for the Machine Learning, Database Architectures and Human-centered Data Analytics research group. Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the special chair of Large-Scale Analytical Data Management (about my research). Architect of the database systems MonetDB, VectorWise (aka Actian Vector) and VectorH (VectorWise-on-Hadoop). Have been involved in 5 spin-off companies in the area of data management.
