• Workshop 1: Euroclear 14:15 – 15:15

Euroclear is a global provider of Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) services. We settle domestic and cross-border securities transactions and safekeep investments. We also help manage the risks and exposures arising from these transactions.

Our purpose is to innovate to bring safety, efficiency and connections to financial markets for sustainable growth. 

In the Analytics, Insights and Reporting tribe, our mission is to serve reliable data and valuable insights to the whole company and beyond.

We aim to reinforce Euroclear’s position as a central market player in the digital age.

Each of the AIR squads helps to transform data into insights using techniques such as descriptive analysis, text mining, machine learning/Artificial Intelligence, reporting & dashboarding. As such we are a transversal tribe supporting many tribes and divisions

During the workshop, we will highlight what kind of data we have in Euroclear, what we do with it and what kind of cool jobs you can find in this environment.

Human-Machine Interface via Voice-driven Model Inference

In this hands-on workshop we’ll glue with Python several components and api’s to realize a system which captures your spoken input and invoke a classification model api on its text translation. Take your laptop with you with a python 3.9 virtual environment.

Second round of workshops

• Workshop 1: Xebia 15:30 – 16:30

In this MLOps session, we will guide you through how to build an end-to-end machine learning pipeline using AWS SageMaker. This will cover the preprocessing, training, evaluation and model deployment. SageMaker has many useful features to help building complex machine learning pipelines, in a simple way. We will begin with a simple pipeline that covers the main processes and then make this more robust by building out other components such as model evaluation, conditional deployment and scheduling.

So, come join us, for some MLOps on AWS!

 

• Workshop 2: UWV 15:30 – 16:30

Process Mining is a Data Science technique with the goal to get insights in processes. At UWV we use this technique to analyse complex processes in order to attain operational excellence.

During this workshop data scientists will teach you about applying Process Mining in fictive use cases. This workshop will challenge you in translating questions to usefull insights for an organisation. During this workshop you will be actively working with the Process Mining tool Disco. Training licenses will be provided during the workshop.

Want to see what it is like to be a data scientist, data engineer, machine learning engineer or analytics translator? Swing by on April 13th to experience the frontier of tech innovation that we push everyday!

We will be hosting a workshop at Tech020 where we will guide you through the process of putting data into practice by building a data pipeline. Using a real life example, we will take you from data wrangling, building a predictive model to model deployment. To bring you closer to professional practice you get to use the industry standard in tooling like Azure Databricks. Join us for 45 minutes and you will know what it takes to create valuable data solutions.

All you need to bring is your laptop and your thinking cap!

Kennis van Qlik Sense, IBM Cognos Analytics zijn een pré. Kennis van Azure Data Services en ervaring met het ontsluiten van data vanuit het Microsoft SQL Data Warehouse.   Job description: In the first eight weeks you will receive intensive training, delivered by seniors and a team of trainers, at our office in Amsterdam. The aim of this training is to prepare you for your first assignment as a Data Engineer and to improve your skills and required characteristics. During the traineeship you will learn to work with different tools and technologies including: databases, distributed systems, Linux, SQL, NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, Hadoop and Kafka. When the first four weeks of training are over, you will start working on an up-to-date business case, provided by one of our partners. This gives you the opportunity to put your skills into practice right away. Only eight weeks after the start of the training you will deliver your first prototype for your business case. Finally, you will work for one or more of our partners for 14 months. You can think of leading organizations such as CB, PostNL, Athlon and government institutions such as municipalities, provinces and water boards.
  Requirements: Holds a related Bachelor or Master degree in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Bio-Informatics, Data Science or Computer Science.
