Amsterdam Science Innovation Award 2019

The Amsterdam Science & Innovation Award is the Amsterdam competition for innovative ideas with a societal and/or commercial impact. The award was launched by Innovation Exchange Amsterdam (IXA) in 2005. The finals of this year’s Award will be held on Tuesday 26th November 2019.

It is an annual competition for the best applicable innovation resulting from Amsterdam research. The feasibility of the idea and the social benefit play an important role in the jury assessment. This award is open to all researchers, staff and students in all disciplines from all Amsterdam universities, universities of applied sciences, academic hospitals and public research centers. Since its launch, the Award has generated more than 400 innovative, bright and applicable ideas. Many of these have resulted in concrete applications and some even formed the basis for new businesses.
