Join us for an exciting programme on Monday 19 September, where senior researchers from academia and industry will exchange ideas on the role of Data Science in Medical Imaging.
Recent years have seen an ever-increasing volume of medical imaging data and annotations being collected and stored. Processing these large datasets is key to ensure we benefit from the wealth of information available.
This Coffee & Data will highlight recent progresses in this fast-advancing field, together with new opportunities, future proposed directions and the associated challenges.

“MRI Guided Radiotherapy: Image Guided Surgery without a Knife”
Professor and Head Radiation Oncology, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Physics, Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht
Jan Lagendijk’s current research line is the application of MRI in radiotherapy. This includes MRI based tumour characterisation and treatment simulation, and the use of MRI for treatment guidance and treatment response assessment.
